Our Nursing degree courses are validated by the NMC and you’ll be linked to one of our eight NHS healthcare trust partners for your placements.

As a dual registered nurse you could choose to focus on either child or mental health nursing.
Our course is approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) in the UK, meaning you’ll be eligible to apply for registration with them when you graduate – and start your career in nursing.
Many of our graduates are employed six months after completing their degree, including those who receive job offers from their placement areas.
You’ll be empowered to deliver quality care through learning. We all have a part to play in leadership, regardless of rank.
You'll start this course by looking at person-centred care and patient safety, and completing two hospital placements.
In Year 3, the focus is on child nursing and covers clinical assessment and skills, and complex care needs. Meanwhile, Year 4 is centred on mental health as you explore the nature and symptoms of mental illness, and learn how to assess and plan care.
Placements continue throughout your course and by the end of Year 4, you’ll be ready to work as a registered nurse.
Modules are subject to change and availability, and may vary by location. If you have the choice of optional modules, these are indicated with a *.
As a nursing student at ARU, you'll benefit from purpose-built nursing skills labs offering the very best in experiential learning.
You’ll use sophisticated equipment to simulate many aspects of a working hospital ward. You’ll also learn from registered, practising tutors and lecturers who’ll make sure you’re being taught the latest techniques and give you the support you need to succeed.
